Scan
Point your camera at any ingredient label. ToxScan reads it in seconds — no barcode needed.
Analyze
Our AI evaluates each ingredient for endocrine disruption, microplastics, and other health concerns — flagging risks and explaining why they matter.
Know
Get a clear safety score, risk breakdown, and personalized flags based on your health profile.
Every ingredient, under scrutiny.
Nine detection categories across food, skincare, supplements, and cleaning products. Everything others ignore.
Endocrine Disruptors
Flags parabens, phthalates, BPA, and triclosan — hormone-disrupting chemicals linked to fertility, thyroid, and developmental issues.
Heavy Metals
Detects lead, mercury, arsenic, and cadmium — toxic metals that accumulate in the body and impair brain, kidney, and cardiovascular function.
Seed Oils
Identifies industrial seed oils — canola, soybean, cottonseed, sunflower — associated with systemic inflammation and oxidative stress.
Microplastics
Detects microplastic-releasing additives and packaging chemicals that migrate into food, skincare, and household products.
Dyes, Preservatives & Sweeteners
Flags Red 40, Yellow 5, BHA, BHT, sodium nitrite, aspartame, and sucralose — additives with links to cancer, hyperactivity, and metabolic disruption.
Health Personalization
Set flags for pregnancy, thyroid conditions, hormone sensitivity, and more. Every scan is risk-scored to your specific health profile.

Questions, answered.
How accurate is the AI?
ToxScan uses Azure OpenAI to evaluate ingredients against published toxicology research and regulatory actions (FDA, EU 1223/2009, IARC). It's a screening tool — not a replacement for medical advice.
What products can I scan?
Anything with a printed ingredient list. Food, skincare, haircare, supplements, cleaning products. Pet products and prescription medications are intentionally not analyzed — they belong to other domains.
Does it work offline?
On-device OCR (reading the label) works offline. Ingredient analysis requires a network connection.
What's Premium versus free?
Free includes 5 scans per month with full result detail. Premium unlocks unlimited scans, AI ingredient chat, and complete scan history.
How is my data handled?
Scans are stored against your account only. We never sell or share your data. Account deletion removes everything. See our privacy policy for full details.
When will it leave early access?
Soon. Early access exists so we can gather feedback before public launch. Join now and you'll have it from day one — and shape what ships.
